Keeping your emergency contacts up to date ensures the Quin Within App can alert the right people when it matters most. Whether you’re adding a new contact, updating existing details, or confirming responses, here’s how to manage your emergency info step by step.
Step 1: Navigate to the Emergency Info Page
From the Home Page, tap the Safety Icon in the bottom of your screen next to the home page
Scroll down and locate My Responders
Step 2: Add or Edit Emergency Contacts
Once you have located the My Responders tab, tap the Edit button in the top right corner.
To add a new contact, tap + Add a Contact.
Step 3: Choose How to Add the Contact
After tapping add a contact, you will be able to enter their information manually, or by clicking on the contact button on the right side of the name section.
If you choose Add Manually
Fill in the following fields:
Full Name
Phone Number
Email Address
Preferred Language
Then tap Done.
If you choose the Contact Icon
Select the desired contact and their information will auto-populate.
After the information populates, select their preferred language
Then tap Done.
Please note - if their email or phone number is not stated in their contact information on your phone, you will have to enter that information manually.
Step 4: Confirm via SMS
Once a new contact is added, your phone’s Messages app will automatically open with a pre-filled confirmation message asking the contact to approve being listed as your emergency contact.
If everything looks correct, just press Send.
Important: Make sure your emergency contact accepts the request. Until they have confirmed, they will not receive emergency alert messages from Quin.
We recommend checking that all your emergency contacts have accepted their requests, so you can be confident they will be notified if an emergency occurs.
Step 5: Final Tips & Saving Changes
You must have at least 3 approved emergency contacts to complete your emergency info.
After making any changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and tap Save to confirm your updates.
That’s it! Your Responders are now up to date and ready to support you in case of a crash, SOS alert, or any other incident.
